Some of the props I have made

    Hi There.

From the start, I have to say I'm new to this stuff.
These are some of the things I have made in the last 12 months.
I have very limited tools, a scroll saw an angle grinder and a bench drill, and some imagination.

I build these for my daughter, who is into cosplay.
    She really keeps me busy.

Nice work on your props, i really like the guns/hand cannons. They remind me of something out of Hellboy.

That is some awesome looking weaponry you've made there, Valkie!
Not sure I believe your 'newb/limited' tale, but if that's your story, we'll stick to it : ))

Welcome to the forum, look forward to seeing what the next 12 months bring!!

Sorry that it seems an unlikley tale, perhaps if you followed the actual process it would help.
The Hellboy "Big Baby" is quite a large build and weighs quite a bit.
I used MDF, but have since started using pine as it is much lighter.

My latest "Sky Hook" from bioshock is fully pine and wighs half of what the Hell boy gun weighs.

Never the less, for your viewing pleasure, here is the build of the Hellboy Big Baby

Nice craftsmanship...there's nothing you can't do with a little pvc and mdf.

    Thanks Guys;

I try my best, I hope to get an engraving tool sometime soon so I can get some more detail better than what I can do with a knife and sandpaper.

The hellboy Samaritan gun was quite an exercise in gradual assembly, making small pieces and fitting them to make the overall effect.
Im still not happy with the finsih though and hope to get some tips on how to better paint the weapons to make them look more realistic.

    This is the Samaritan build.

I have started on a new project
This one is predator arm knives or whatever they are called.
I have made the mechanism to allow the blades to extend, now Im starting to fisnish it off.

I also have a picture of my daughter fully geared up as Hell girl
I think it turned out well.

The hand of doom is a glove, some water pipe and some foam floor matting.
I made it so she could use the hand, it was a hit.
The belt buckle was made from ply, two layers, one just a disc and the other with the shape.
It turned out like a cast belt buckle.

I have also built a riddlers trophy, just for fun.
I think it turned out OK, but I want to make the question mark glow.
    A project for later.

Those are incredible builds. Thanks for sharing! I love woodworking...and when it bleeds into prop making....perfect union!
